Fort Huachuca | In-Processing
Main Gate Welcome Center
New arrivals and visitors to Fort Huachuca should enter the installation through the Main Gate at the west end of Sierra Vista's Fry Boulevard and the intersection with Buffalo Soldier Trail. The Main Gate Welcome Center is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is closed on weekends and holidays. The Welcome Center can provide temporary and permanent on-post vehicle registration, information on where to locate troop units, and general information about the installation, along with a map to guide visitors to their destination. To obtain a vehicle registration permit, you must provide a valid driver's license, vehicle registration and proof of vehicle insurance. A service officer from the Disabled American Veterans, Fry Chapter 14, is usually available to assist veterans needing help with VA claims, rides, etc. Call the DAV at (520) 458-5776 to coordinate times and pick-up points for veterans having appointments in the Tucson Veterans Administration Medical Center.

Reporting In
Officers should sign the register at the organization to which they have been assigned. Newly assigned enlisted Soldiers should report to the Battalion or Brigade S-1 of the unit to which they are assigned, during or after duty hours. (Please see "Where to Report for Sign In" chart.)

Reservist
Individual Reservists, regardless of rank, will report to the Mobilization and Military/ Civilian Support Office in Room B-20 of Building 31122 (Alchesay Barracks) for in-processing on the first duty day after arrival. Pre-arrival coordination with the G-3 Reserve Support Office can be done by calling (520) 533-6627 (during duty hours) or (520) 533-2291 (after hours). In-Processing Services
New arrivals start in-processing at their respective units or activities. The unit will make an appointment for Soldiers to process at the Personnel Processing Center in Whitside Hall, Building 41330, near the Smith Avenue traffic circle. The center offers one-stop service to all incoming and outgoing permanent party Soldiers. Services include the processing of personnel records and travel pay. The travel computation personnel of the Defense Military Pay Office handle such matters as permanent change of station travel reimbursement and pay and allotment changes.

Newcomers' Orientation
A monthly Newcomers' Orientation for soldiers, family members, and DA civilians is held at Murr Community Center. The orientation includes a tour of the local area. Call Army Community Service at (520) 533-2330 for information concerning date and time.

Housing
The Family Housing Office, located in Building 41415, is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. except holidays. The Housing Referral Branch for off-post housing, also located in Building 41415, is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during normal duty days. All arriving and departing military personnel are required to process through this branch. Personnel arriving after duty hours, on weekends or on holidays should report to the Billeting Office, Building 43083, for temporary lodging. They should report to their assigned unit the following day.
